Mintel seeks to hire a Spanish speaking Account Manager to join our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales team in our Chicago office. This is an exciting opportunity for a polished sales professional who is ambitious and performance-oriented. In addition to be being an exceptional individual sales performer, the ideal candidate will possess general knowledge and interest in market research principles and disciplines.

This position is responsible for managing and enriching account relationships within an assigned Latin American territory across Mintel’s core CPG syndicated internet deliverable products. This position will also be responsible for business growth in our Custom Solutions research space. The focus of this position will be on-site account management designed to increase Mintel's presence within each account. Excellent product communication, networking, relationship development, product support, customer service, and up-selling skills are required.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a base salary and open-ended commission. We also offer excellent benefits package and fully expensed business travel.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain and grow existing account relationships within an assigned territory using excellent communication skills, strong follow-up and sharp attention to detail

  • Travel 50% of the time to Latin American countries for sales meetings and client consultations

  • Negotiate and close contracts and deliver industry leading renewal rates

  • Leverage client relationships to grow key accounts by securing additional products or services to achieve a targeted portfolio

  • Identify new champions within organizations to increase revenue streams

  • Network throughout assigned accounts and by leveraging contacts throughout client org structures

  • Deliver creative business solutions to prove ROI on a monthly or quarterly basis to aid in the renewal and enrichment process

  • Become a product expert across all Mintel CPG products and services

  • Create territory and account level business plans specific to assigned portfolio

  • Deliver accurate forecasts to sales management

  • Effectively utilize Mintel’s sales database CRM system (

  • Consistently deliver exceptional sales results against target

What We Are Looking For:

  • Fully bilingual in both English and Spanish is required; fluency in Portuguese is a plus

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Ability to travel 50% of the time

  • Minimum 3+ years proven consultative sales experience; CPG experience a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with impeccable organizational, analytical, and planning skills

  • Strong account management and business development background, with proven success in expanding client relationships and excellence in maximizing account potential

  • Highly polished, professional and consultative selling style
